What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing your heartfelt journey with writing. As a fellow Puerto Rican born and raised in San Juan, your story was very moving to me. Your vivid descriptions of childhood creativity and the transformative power of writing brought memories of my own experiences growing up in Puerto Rico! Carmen Jovet what??? LOL . Your candid reflections on the challenges and triumphs of being an online creator are truly inspiring. It's a reminder of the strength it takes to remain vulnerable and authentic in a world that can often be harsh and judgmental. Your commitment to creating for the joy of it is a powerful message that many of us need to hear. I have been vulnerable and transparent but maybe because sometimes I come accross brash so it has never work out for me when I used to have Facebook. I look forward to reading more of your work and witnessing your journey of self-expression and creativity. Thank you for opening up and sharing a piece of your heart with us.

¡Gracias y adelante! =)

Thank you so much for your comment, Ana! :) Haha, I knew only my fellow boricuas would get some of the references. I was obsessed with Puerto Rican daytime TV growing up and I'd watch a lot of Carmen Jovet, haha. I'm glad that the message has gotten to you, it's truly paralyzing for me to think about the risks and the pain and the awfulness that sometimes comes with being open - but the opposite is almost more corrosive, more problematic, more awful. And I feel you on the brashness - I am sure there will be many times as I keep putting my thoughts and opinions out where people will likely feel that way! So I'm sure it will be a matter of time, I always run into that. I wonder how much of that plays into the "model minority" myth too. Remember - some people really think that calladitos nos vemos mas bonitos. <3

same here! it's something i took from e.e cummings. all of his poetry is written this way. for some reason, no capitalization makes it a breeze for me to read and absorb something. honestly, this was me trying it out and seeing if it did things for anyone. i'm tempted to keep experimenting with formatting to see how i can make these essays easier to read and absorb for people like us! <3 thanks for the comment, hun. miss you.
